Christendom College to Host Annual Discernment Weekend

Christendom College will host its Annual Discernment Weekend on February 27 - March 1. The weekend will focus on priestly, religious, married, and single-life vocations. "We're excited about the line-up of speakers that we have this year. Our students will not only hear from priests and seminarians, but married people and various religious," Student Activities Coordinator Marie Antunes said. College Mourns the Loss of Bishop Thomas Welsh

Great friend of Christendom College and former Arlington Diocese Bishop Thomas Welsh died Thursday night at Lehigh Valley Hospital of Allentown, PA at 87. Bishop Welsh was ordained a priest in 1946 in Philadelphia and in 1974 became the founding bishop of the Diocese of Arlington, Va. Christendom College has been included in a new independent report on college costs published by The Center for the Study of Catholic Higher Education, which reveals that some of the most faithful Catholic colleges and universities in the United States also offer students significant cost savings. High School Juniors Get an Introduction to College Life

Forty-five high school juniors attended Christendom College's inaugural Junior Visit Day on Monday, February 16. The event, intended to be an informative open house for local students, drew students from several states, including Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New York. The visiting students toured campus, attended classes, spoke with faculty, and heard from the Director of Admissions Tom McFadden, a Student Life Panel and College President Dr. Timothy O'Donnell.
