Students to Witness for Life at Planned Parenthood

Christendom College's pro-life student group, Shield of Roses, is planning on recruiting over 25% of the college's student body to join them in Mega-Shield on Halloween morning in a prayerful protest at a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Washington, D.C. Each week throughout the academic year, 30-50 students travel to this clinic, kneel on the grass in front of the building, and pray rosaries and Divine Mercy chaplets. College to Host Crusader Weekend

Christendom's Admissions Office will be welcoming over 30 students to campus this weekend for the second of its fall semester Crusader Visit Weekends. During these weekends, students are given the opportunity to participate in a full-tuition scholarship competition, as well as spend time sitting in on classes, visiting with current students, hearing from the Admissions Director, and taking part in all of the social and religious activities on campus. College Students to Protest Abortion at Planned Parenthood Clinic in DC

Christendom College's student-run pro-life group, Shield of Roses, will be travelling to Washington, DC, this Saturday morning to pray in front of a Planned Parenthood clinic located at 1108 16th Street, NW. The student group travels the 70 miles each week to witness for life at the abortion clinic, but normally, only 20-30 students participate. Please pray for Christendom College founder and first president, Dr. Warren H. Carroll, as he remains in the hospital, recovering from a stroke he suffered yesterday. He is out of intensive care, but is still in the hospital. He has also lost his speech at this time. Students and Faculty Enjoy Lecture On Blessed Cardinal Newman

On October 6, Dr. Joshua Hochschild delivered a lecture entitled The Problem of "Liberalism": Lessons from John Henry Newman to students and faculty at Christendom College. On October 11, Christendom College named and dedicated the Crusader Gymnasium Basketball Court, the "Thomas S. Vander Woude Memorial Basketball Court," in honor of former Athletic Director Mr. Thomas Vander Woude who died in 2008 while saving the life of his youngest son. College’s Admissions Office to Host Senior Visit Day

The Christendom College Admissions Office will host a special Senior Visit Day for prospective students who are in their senior year of high school on Monday, October 11, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., on its Front Royal, Va., campus.
