Students Look to Their Futures at Annual Discernment Weekend

Over 30 religious, priests, and laymen from across the country joined the students of Christendom College for its annual Discernment Weekend, held February 11-13. The weekend offered students time for prayer, reflection, and discussion on the religious, priestly, married, and single vocations. The weekend was launched with Vespers on Friday night led by Rev. College to Hold Record Number of Summer Programs in 2011

Christendom's Front Royal campus will be very busy during the summer of 2011. The college has plans to hold four one-week "Experience Christendom" Summer Programs, one one-week Latin Immersion Program, one six-week Graduate School Summer Program, two two-week Vita Consecrata Institute Programs, one one-day Summer Institute Conference, and three to four soccer camps for elementary and high school aged students. Professor Michael Mack Speaks on Hamlet

Author and Professor of Literature Dr. Michael Mack delivered a lecture entitled “Hamlet: Shakespeare’s Mousetrap?” to students and faculty at Christendom College on February 7. The talk was the first in the College’s new Faith & Reason Lecture Series. In his lecture, Mack revealed how Shakespeare uses one of his most famous plays to cause the audience to examine their own conscience. Author and Professor Dr. Michael Mack to Deliver Lecture

On Monday, February 7, Author and Professor Dr. Michael Mack will deliver a lecture, entitled "Hamlet: Shakespeare's Mousetrap?" at 4 p.m. in St. Kilian's Café. The lecture is part of a new series, entitled the Faith & Reason Lecture Series. Mack is an Associate Professor of English and the Dean of the Undergraduate Program at The Catholic University of America. He received his Ph.D. from Columbia University. His research interests include Shakespeare, sixteenth and seventeenth-century English poetry, and Renaissance literary theory.…
