Students Credit Christendom Summer Program for Best Week of Their Lives

Christendom College recently concluded its 16th year of hosting its wildly popular Experience Christendom Summer Program for rising high school seniors. As usual, the 179 students who participated in the four one-week sessions found their time at the college to be life-changing. Christendom College President Dr. Timothy O'Donnell will deliver a lecture on July 17 at 7:30 p.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Annandale, Va. History Professor Reveals Archeological Findings at Global Conference

In March of 2013, Dr. Brendan McGuire, a professor of history at Christendom College, conducted a weeklong archaeological field study, focusing on the existing Byzantine-era churches of Istanbul, Turkey. It was an experience that he described as “exhilarating.” Last month, after a year of research, McGuire presented a paper, which solved an age-old archeological puzzle, at the second annual Symposium on Medieval and Renaissance Studies at Saint Louis University. Mary Stanford, a professor of theology at Christendom College, will launch a lecture series entitled “Faith and Fertility” in Chantilly, Va., on July 10 at 7:00 p.m. Hosted by St. Veronica Catholic Church, Stanford will speak on "The Beauty of God’s Truth: God’s Intention for Human Sexuality."
