The men’s basketball team left Crusader Gymnasium victorious again this past Tuesday night, playing a competitive game against the Warriors of Appalachian Bible College. The Christendom Crazies – the Crusaders’ devoted fans – were out in force for the event, all dressed in white for a traditional “White Out” game.
The Crusaders came out to an early lead and cruised into half time, up by 15 points over the Warriors, 36 – 21. In the second half, the Warriors came on strong and closed the lead to 3 points before junior Jeremy Minick went on a hot streak, scoring 28 of his 36 points and leading the Crusaders to a solid 83 – 52 victory. Minick finished the night shooting 15 for 19 including an outstanding six for six from the three point line. Sophomore Stephen Foeckler continued his impressive second semester play after his 28-point night last week, amassing 10 points, 7 steals, and three assists.
The Crusaders are in action again on Friday at 7:00 p.m. at home against their USCAA rival, Davis College, with the last home game of the season occurring on Tuesday, February 11 at 8 p.m. against Patrick Henry College. The Lady Crusaders hit the court tonight against Mid-Atlantic Christian at 6 p.m.
