The Crusaders took to the field in their final home game of the season this past Saturday, April 25, crushing local opponent Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC) 80-17 in the high scoring match.
Entering the game with a resounding 6-1 record, the Crusaders continued their impressive season against crosstown rival LFCC, one of the top 25 teams in the National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO). The Crusaders continued their dominance of NSCRO teams in the 80-17 win, after defeating other top NSCRO teams Mount St. Mary’s University and Franciscan University of Steubenville earlier in the season.
The Crusaders look to continue their six-game winning streak in the final game of the season this Saturday, May 2, against USA Rugby Men’s DIAA West Virginia University. The Mountaineers of WVU are coming off a loss in the eastern conference semi-finals against Central Florida University, eager to redeem themselves.
