Christendom College’s yearbook will make its return this coming fall, with the 2015-16 college yearbook being published in time for the return of students on August 19. Printed for the first time entirely in full-color, the yearbook will be available to current students in print and to the general public digitally online, free of charge.
The yearbook is returning to the college after a three-year hiatus, with the help and guidance of the college’s marketing office. While other colleges and universities across the nation have cut their yearbooks, losing an incredible historical resource in the process, Christendom is committed to keeping the tradition alive at the college, as a gift to students and future alumni.
“A college yearbook is an incredible keepsake, full of memories that students and their parents will be able to look back on for years to come. Furthermore, it’s truly a historical record, preserving an entire year at the college in a way that is both exciting and informative,” says public relations specialist Zach Smith, who is the managing editor of the 2015-16 yearbook.
“Students from across Christendom’s student body have volunteered countless hours of time as section editors, layout designers, writers, and photographers to make this yearbook possible, and I cannot be more excited to share their work with the greater Christendom community this fall,” says Smith.
Over the past year, students have been busy pouring hours of creativity into designing the yearbook, which is being created entirely in-house for the first time. By making the yearbook in-house, utilizing professional Adobe InDesign software, the students have been able to create an original, dynamic yearbook, full of professional photography, exciting layouts, and more.
The yearbook will be available in print for all current students when they return to campus in August, and will be shipped to the recently graduated Class of 2016 as well. For the first time, the yearbook will also be available digitally online, giving an even-wider audience the opportunity to experience a year at Christendom College.
