Christendom’s rugby team will travel down to Colonial Williamsburg to take on the Tribe of the College of William & Mary on Saturday, October 29, at 1:00 p.m. The Crusaders, who are currently ranked #2 in their NSCRO division, will be seeking their third, and final, regular season win of the fall in the match.
The match will mark only the second time that the Crusaders have taken on the Tribe in rugby. Since being invited to compete in the Cardinals Rugby Conference — a conference in the NSCRO, a part of USA Rugby — Christendom has taken on some of the nation’s biggest teams, including Duke University, James Madison University, and Cornell.
Christendom already played Duke this season, drawing them in a dramatic opening day comeback, before defeating the University of Richmond and Lord Fairfax. With a win on Saturday, the Crusaders have a shot at the #1 spot in their division, before heading into the regional championships in November.
William & Mary, which is famous for being the first college in the United States, is currently 1-3 on their respective season, but has won state championships for rugby in past years.
The match will take place at Trinkle Hall on William & Mary’s historic campus, located at 108 Jamestown Rd., Williamsburg, Va. For more information, please visit christendomathletics.com.
