Christendom alumna and growing music star Marie Miller will release her debut album, Letterbox, this coming Friday, April 28.
Coming on the heels of her globally viewed performance for Pope Francis at the Festival of Families in 2015, Miller’s new album is her first new music release since 2013’s You’re Not Alone EP. That EP featured the title track, which hit #1 on Billboard Christian charts, and “6’2,” which was featured on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. Since that EP, Miller has toured the country and has become a mainstay on SiriusXM Satellite Radio.
Miller will officially release the album at a hometown record release show in Huntly, Virginia, on Friday at Rappahannock Cellars. The cost for admission is $18, with discounts available for Christendom students (more information here: http://mariemillermusic.com/).
“Having that liberal arts education at Christendom was so important for me in developing my mind and heart, through the amazing time at Mass and through all the classes. The reason why I’m doing music is because I think of it as a vocation. Even if I’m playing at a regular, secular music venue, the goal in mind is…to bring people closer to God. There’s a lot of bad art out there, so I believe it’s important that good people are in art to influence it for the better,” says Miller.
Letterbox will feature twelve new tracks of folk and pop songs. Hear more here: http://www.allmusic.com/album/letterbox-mw0003019248, and pre-order the album here: https://rivetmerch.com/collections/marie-miller/products/letterbox.
