Christendom College mourns the passing of alumnus Matthew Cameron (’93), a great man, father, husband, and entrepreneur. A life-long adventurer, Cameron was known for his relentless optimism and creativity, living every aspect of his life to the fullest. He passed away due to a type of cancer on November 14 at the age of 47, leaving behind a legacy of music, film, and countless stories of people he inspired through his work as a producer, as a father, and as a friend.
“He was a wise teacher of how to have peace in your heart, a smile on your face, food on your table, courage to love unconditionally, and the ability to forgive fully,” reads his obituary. “He showed us how to love each other by loving us.”
Cameron earned his Bachelor’s from Christendom in political science and economics, and went on to become a concert producer through his own company, Cameron Productions. He met Croatian music star Tajci in the late ‘90s, married her, and used his company to promote her talent across the world. He later founded Stormlight Pictures, a script-to-screen media production company that produced videos and film.
Cameron traveled the world with his wife, children, and friends during his lifetime, going to places many only dream of. He truly took advantage of every one of life’s moments, creating a remarkable life for himself and all those close to him.
Cameron leaves behind his wife, Tatiana “Tajci,” his sons, Dante, Evan and Blais, his parents, brother, and two sisters.
May his soul, and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
