Semester & Time Limits
Online courses are offered within the regular semesters (fall and spring) of the Graduate School, on a two-year cycle with about one-fourth of the courses available each semester. Fall semester courses start after Labor Day and continue until mid-December; spring courses start mid-January and end in early May. We occasionally offer online courses during the summer, when the semester runs from May through August. At least four online courses are offered each semester. Students may register for an online course up to the mid-point of the semester, and are expected to finish the course by the end of the semester. Online students are subject to the same policy concerning incomplete/extensions as onsite students. “Teaching the Faith” courses (EDUC 630 and EDUC 631) and the Introduction to Theology prerequisite course (THEO 590) are continuous registration: students may register for them at any time regardless of semester and are expected to finish the course within four months of registering.
