Admissions Counselor
Hello. My name is Liz Beller, and I currently work in the Admissions Office at Christendom College as a counselor.
My way to Christendom was paved by the attendance of two of my siblings—as well as two of my cousins—who blazed a trail for me all the way from my hometown, Joshua Tree, California. I adapted to the deeply Catholic way of life here at the college, and fell in love with the beautiful campus nestled in the peaceful Shenandoah Valley—so different from the Mojave Desert where I grew up. Supposedly I have even adopted a slight southern accent, to the horror of my family!
My life at Christendom was highlighted by my opportunity to travel to Honduras on a mission trip, which was a life-changing experience for me. Seeing the simple life of the inhabitants of one of the poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere juxtaposed to that of the highly materialistic culture of America was definitely somewhat of a shock for me, and I am so thankful to have had my eyes opened to the poverty and suffering of others.
Apart from the social aspects of Christendom, which I thoroughly enjoyed participating in, I also integrated myself in the academic aspects as well. I majored in History, which I found to be an excellent program, especially due to the efforts of recently departed Dr. Warren Carroll. I am very thankful for the incredible work Dr. Carroll accomplished for so many, not least of all founding this wonderful college.
If you are interested in visiting Christendom and participating in any campus events, please do not hesitate to give me a call or send me an email. I am more than happy to arrange your stay at the school, even if it is just for an afternoon tour of the college.
