Greetings from Christendom!
I was born in Washington, DC, and then moved to Drogheda, Ireland, when I was 10. I lived there until I returned to America to attend Christendom College when I was 17...and yes, I used to have an Irish accent:)
After four of the best years of my life, I earned my B.A. in Theology from Christendom, after which I followed my dream and became a restaurant manager of an all-you-can-eat seafood restaurant (Chesapeake Bay Seafood House). A year out of college, I married the lovely Amanda Farinholt, who had just completed her sophomore year at Christendom.
After 4 years of restaurant work, I changed careers and became a Director of Religious Education at the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Winchester, Virginia. During the next 5 years, I directed a 500 student CCD program, taught religion at the Catholic school, taught the RCIA conversion class where, by the grace of God, I was instrumental in helping over 60 people convert to Catholicism, and taught the pre-baptismal class. During this time, I attended Christendom's Graduate School and earned a Master of Arts in Theological Studies in 1998, becoming the first Christendom grad to earn both a BA and MA from Christendom.
In 1999, I took a job as Headmaster of a small, independent elementary school in Sunapee, New Hampshire. After a great year, in 2000, I joined the staff at Christendom as the College Relations Officer, responsible for helping to get the word out about Christendom and to help with the publications, website, newsletter, and special events of the College. In 2004, I was promoted to the Director of Admissions & Marketing where I am responsible for all aspects of recruitment, marketing, and public relations. This past June, I was given charge of the College's alumni relations, and a new title of Director of Admissions, Marketing, and Alumni Relations. Try saying that three times fast:)
My lovely wife, Amanda, and I are homeschooling parents of 10 children (so far) - 7 girls and 3 boys.
