Welcome
to Christendom's Alumni E-Zine. If you have information that
you would like to share with your fellow alumni, send it to
Tom McFadden at tmcfadden@christendom.edu.
The
Grapevine Online will be emailed, depending on the amount
of information sent to the editor, every month. It will have
a couple of sections (when information is available), namely,
Class Notes (your basic information on alumni babies,
weddings, jobs, etc.), Alumni Profiles (more in-depth
information on certain alumni), Calendar of Events,
and Links to various recent stories about Christendom
College and/or the Alumni of Christendom.
Of
course, all comments, suggestions, and information should
be sent to tmcfadden@christendom.edu.

Ted
Eidem '00 graduated from the Fairfax County Police Academy
in March and is now a sworn officer patroling the McLean District.
Stephen
Cabler ('93) was married to Therese Kalisch August 2001.
Stephen is an Occupational Therapist working presently in
Kansas.
Bob
O'Connell ('87-'88-infamey)
asks "Cen chaoi a bhfuil tu?" and wishes everyone
a Happy Easter! He now has a job working as the director of
development with the St. Vincent Catholic Medical Centres,
Brooklyn, Queens Region. His home address is: 977 Main St.
New Rochelle, NY 10801, 914-636-1075, e-mail: derryronane@yahoo.com.
"Slan go faoil"
Mary
(Taggart-'89) and Mike Lucas ('89) added a sixth child
to their clan of four daughters and one son. They were happy
to give 9 year old Donald his first brother (finally!). Nicholas
Jay Lucas was born on St. Patricks day at 1:42 pm, weighing
in at 10 lbs. 3 oz., and 21 and 3/4 inches long. Everyone
is doing well and they thank all who kept them in their prayers.
Liz
Higby is currently teaching at a Catholic School in MA;
7th and 8th. She is directing a play there too. In addition
to all of that, she is going for her masters in education
at Our Lady of the Elms college.
Vivian
(Cabler) Mcintyre ('90) and Jerry McIntyre welcomed their
second child, Mary Clare Susan October 14, 2001-6 lbs.
Stephen
('92) and Elizabeth (Dateno '93) Pilon
would like to set the record straight. Their daughter Philomena
Grace was born at 1:40 am on March 21. She weighed 7 lbs.
12 oz. and was 21 in. long. The Pilon's both love mathematics,
and therefore love the patterns that show up in nature. Thus,
they have had a very patterned life. Their five children are
girl-boy-girl-boy-girl, and they have been born 6-14-6-14-5
days early (but the last was almost born 6 days early). They
would also like to point out that the kids are 8-6-4-2-0,
and they are right-left-right-left-? handed.
Mike
McFadden ('95-'97) is reconsidering his previous month's
idea of buying a ferret and now believes that tuning up HIS
mountain bike might be a more feasible option.
Phil
O'Herron ('00) received a full scholarship to attend Johns
Hopkins University and study Neuroscience. He should then
receive his PhD in Neuroscience after about 6 six years if
all goes well.
John
Bowes ('97) spent January, February and March overseas
in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He flew over 80
hours and more than 40 combat sorties in both Pakistan and
Afghanistan. And, oh yeah, his and Gretchen's son, Dominic
is now a year old and destroying everything in sight.
Danielle
(Dalley-'01) and Mark Rohlena ('00) were married on July
14, 2001, and are currently living in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Danielle works as an Administrative Assistant in the Executive
Office of the Ave Maria Foundation. Mark is finishing his
second year of law school at the Ave Maria School of Law.
He was recently chosen to be an Editorial Board
member of the Ave Maria Law Review as the Business Manager.
Diane
(Bodner '81-'82) Duhig reports that she and her husband
are training with their County department of social services
to be foster/adoptive parents. She has also left the firm
of Swick & Shapiro, P.C. (where she was an attorney for
eight years) and is in the process of launching her own practice,
to be known as "Law Office of Diane Duhig, P.C."
Diane is licensed to practice in Maryland, D.C. and Virginia.
Damian
and Katie (Barry) Fedoryka are gleeful over the birth
of their new baby girl: Angelina Grace Maria, born on Monday,
March 25 -- date of the Feast of the Annunciation (except
this year, moved to April b/c of Easter): 8 lb 21 in.
This
story comes to us from Kevin Gerrity (Ave Maria Law Student)
-- Although John Kelsey (1999) has been quiet about
his personal life (other than his amazing story about the
return of the Pumpkinhead reported here in an earlier edition
of The Grapevine Online!) in Indiana, it should be known that
he got engaged last month to a great girl named Francis Milliares.
She currently teaches at the same school as John. The two
plan a wedding this September in New York. And on another
front, John reports that last Friday night he was kicked out
of Taco-Bell for saying "Chucky-cheese" in a highpitched
voice. It was quite an adventure!
And
Michael Kelsey (2000), the younger of the brothers
Kelsey, can be seen, that is, the name Michael N. Kelsey,
in each edition of The National Catholic Register.
You see, among his many talents, he is also the proofreader
of this Catholic paper put out by the Legionairies of Christ.
George
McFadden ('84-'86) is engaged to be married to a woman
named Agnieszka Wiesyk. (pictured on the left)
Paul
('90) and Lisa (Curran-'93) Heisler had their baby (as
predicted by The Grapevine Online last month) on March 13,
2002. Andrew James Joseph Heisler was born healthy and was
baptized on March 23rd at St. John's by Uncle Fr. John Heisler.

the College, with the help of one Karla K. Kuykendall, has
created and published a new booklet entitled, "Skills
for a Lifetime....Achieving your goals with a Liberal Arts
Degree from Christendom College."
This
booklet is the result of two years of investigation and research
into the lives of Christendom's alumni. The brochure focuses
on 17 different alumni and the jobs/careers that they hold.
Some
of the jobs listed are: Catholic missionaries, FBI agent,
Multimedia Programmer, CPA, Religious sister, Catholic priest,
News Editor, Attorney, College Professor, Computer Consultants,
and more!
You
should be receiving your copy of this hot-off-the-press booklet
in the very near future. And if, after reading it, you want
to be a part of the next issue, just write us up something
interesting and send us a picture. We'll make you famous!
