Welcome
to Christendom's Alumni E-Zine. If you have information that
you would like to share with your fellow alumni, send it to
Tom McFadden at tmcfadden@christendom.edu.
The
Grapevine Online will be uploaded, depending on the amount
of information sent to the editor, every month. It will have
a couple of sections (when information is available), namely,
Class Notes (your basic information on alumni babies,
weddings, jobs, etc.), Calendar of Events, and Links
to various recent stories about Christendom College and/or
the Alumni of Christendom.

Four
Christendom alumni had the time of their lives in Rome back
in November. Jen Coleman (& her mom, Sally), Claire
Jensen, and Sherry Spring went to Rome to visit
Niall O'Donnell, who is living and studying in the eternal
city. Their adventure is now known all over Europe and beyond
as Operation Roman Holiday. According to sources close
to the action, they had a blast running all over Rome and,
of course, into Irish pubs. They also ventured to the city
of Assisi and visited the church of St. Paul Outside the Walls
in Rome (see pic of them on left - from left to right: Jen
Coleman, Niall O'Donnell, Claire Jenson, and Sherry Spring).
Other than that magnificent adventure, Niall has had little
going on. Oh yes, he did happen to lock himelf out of his
room and had to sleep on the streets where he almost got mugged.
On
January 5, 2004, Colby Anderson Storck '99 was spotted
around town wearing pants, dispelling the idea that they have
ended up in flames.
Doug
& Nancy Briggs are happy to announce the arrival of
#9, Natalie Therese Milligan Briggs, on December 27th. The
little blighter weighed in at 8lbs 1oz and does just about
everything a
newborn should.
Doug
& Nancy are also happy to announce that #1, Monica, managed
to get through her first semester at Christendom without any
run-ins with the local constabulary (they think).
Marc-Pierre
Jansen '02 (the-now-almost-forgotten-former- International-Man-of-Leisure)
is still enjoying the exciting life of being a couch-potato,
spending his days watching meaninful soap operas, Oprah, and
looking between the cracks of the sofa for loose change. Now
that's a living, brother!
The
Thanksgiving holiday brought many reminders of God's blessings
to the Hibl family, with a surprise visit from Sr. Mary
Lazarus (Elizabeth Hibl, '99) on her way back to the Princeville,
IL convent of the Sisters of St. John from France. With all
40 (plus two in utero) members of the family present, it was
indeed a reminder of the reason for the holiday. The other
members of the family gathered at the Clark's home are Mr.
& Mrs. Charles Hibl, Sr; Kevin & Laura Clark (both
'86); Chip ('89) and Susan (Schneible '90); Jim
& Katy ('91) Price; Kristy ('97); Andy ('98)
and Heather (Tutwiler), Sarah (graduating '04), a few
more sisters and many, many grandchildren. For addresses of
any of them contact Laura (laurahiblclark@hotmail.com)
and she'll pass them on.
Ann-Marie
Jensen, former Christendom student and drop-out, ran into
one Bill Murray while visiting a local tavern in the city
of Rome recently. Bill, buddy, you don't look all that great.
Nicholas
Daniel Joseph Fisher, son of Ben & Theresa (Ford) '03
Fisher, decided to make his debut three months earlier
than anticipated, being born on December 6, 2003 at 1:54pm.
The little trooper weighed in at 2lbs 2oz, 13 inches long.
He has made considerable progress in the Neonatal Intensive
Care Unit (thanks to everyone's continued prayers), and was
able to be held for the first time by his lovingly impatient
parents on Dec. 29th. His future goals include: growing long
enough to fit into clothes, coming off the respirator, and
coming home sometime before Easter. Picture of mother and
baby is below.
