Alex
and Dan Fedoryka have been enjoying life as musicians
and have experienced a wealth of blessings over the last two
years. Their band Scythian was asked to play for the President
of Ireland and the United States on St. Patrick's Day and
that same year they were asked to play at World Youth Day
where they got to close out the Vigil festivities in front
of 250,000 people! Over the last five years they have been
asked many times by alumni when Scythian will play ALL AGE
venues and they're happy to announce that this upcoming Friday,
August 14th, Scythian will be releasing their brand new album
in Baltimore at The Ramshead Live! This will prove be Scythian's
biggest venue show to date and so they ask you to spread the
word to anyone who would be interested. Doors open at 8pm
and tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. You can
find the new album and more information at www.scythianmusic.com.
Stephen
and Julie (Asam) Monette ('00) moved in the fall of 2008
to Silver Spring, Maryland. If you are a Christendom alumna
in the DC area and would like to get together (even if you
don't know them), email Julie at juliecm@frontiernet.net.
If you DO know them, they certainly hope that you will contact
Julie so they can have a chance to see you again! They are
not sure if they are in Maryland permanently or temporarily,
since Stephen is processing out of the Navy and searching
for a civilian job while he works on a degree in software
engineering. Peter is now 2.5 years old and Christopher will
be 6 in September. One the left is a picture from a recent
trip to the D.C. Zoo.
Margaret
(Healy) Pickard ('84) has enjoyed the old pictures being
posted on the Christendom Alumni site, and finding old friends
on Facebook! One the right is a picture from her recent trip
to Hilton Head Island with some friends. It is the Harbour
Town lighthouse.
Michael
Hichborn is hard at work exposing the Culture of Death. His
latest video report exposes the propaganda tactics of pro-abortion
organizations, twisting the truth to get the support they
want. The video is called "Laws, Lies, and Videotape"
and you can watch it on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myo0F1jpv4Q
Jeff
and Christy (Williams) Hansen ('99) are awaiting the birth
of their child, who is due in October. They married in November
2008, and reside in Portsmouth, VA. May God reward you for
your prayers for their continued happiness!
A
bunch of Christendom alumni were spotted when they went o
Bethany Beach last weekend and hung out with the one and only
Bethany Sargis ('03). Pictured on the left is They
all had an amazing time getting away from either jobs or kids
to just sit on the beach, talk, and play cards at Bethany's
cottage. An amazing time was had by all and Bethany is an
great hostess. She had two delectible blueberry cheesecakes
in the fridge for everyone to "sample."
Hugh
Anthony, son of Nathan and Elizabeth (Stephens) Traugott
('05), was born on June 20th, weighing 9lbs 5oz. He is
a happy, healthy boy who has been smiling from day one! The
little man is pictured on the right.
