Oct 27th, Front Royal, Va: The future looks great for the Women's basketball team at Christendom... The present looks even better! The women started off the 2007-08 season with a come from behind win against a tough NOVA team. Trailing 27-23 at halftime the Lady Crusaders clawed their way back into the game, led by Abby Hill and her 21 points, Becca Harris who added 17 points and Mary Kate VanderWoude offered 10 points. Outscoring the NOVA team by 4 in the second half the Christendom women forced the game into overtime and Becca Harris scored 10 of her 17 points in the overtime to lead the Lady Crusaders to their first win of the season under Coach Nancy Bauer. The Christendom women play next at Valley Forge this Saturday.
