The Most Important
By Matthew Rose

Terror and panic have taken their hold
Upon this, our humble abode
Forsaken is Logic, forgotten are they,
The rational reason of which we say
They are the most important

When one's warm heart is turned
Like ice, frozen gold melting and burned
Inside a burning furnace of fear.
Our loveless feelings of which we hold dear,
They are the most important

Friendship and love are the sole thing
A man needs to survive. Every spring
Our minds burn up, our feelings change,
Family ideals fade in range
They are the most important

Priorities form inside our hearts,
Like blood flowing through the parts
Of the body. For the first thing is our
God; there should be a line, borrowed:
"They are the most important."
