Students to Witness for Life at Planned Parenthood Each week throughout the academic year, 30-50 students travel to this clinic, kneel on the grass in front of the building, and pray rosaries and Divine Mercy chaplets. Twice a year, the group organizes Mega-Shield, which attracts around 150 students to participate. According to a woman, calling herself Professor Foxy, who works as a pro-choice clinic escort at the Planned Parenthood facility, who wrote an article on feministing.com, entitled, “Thank you Dr. Tiller,” the Christendom students make a real impact each week. “Over the years, the antis [anti-abortion protesters] have stayed the same and they have changed. When I started, almost all of the antis were 45 plus, white, male and slightly disheveled. These antis still exist, but they are now joined by the younger antis. Some of these younger antis are hip, especially the Bound for Life crowd. We also have many, many students who come from local colleges, the most prominent being Christendom College. They drive in from Front Royal, VA every Saturday morning (leaving in time for Saturday brunch) to stand outside the local Planned Anyone interested in joining the Shield of Roses and the students of Christendom College at the Planned Parenthood facility on October 31 should plan on arriving at 9 a.m. and staying until noon. The address is 1108 16th Street NW Washington, DC 200366.
