College Students to Protest Abortion at Planned Parenthood Clinic in DC

October 27, 2010

planned parenthoodChristendom College's student-run pro-life group, Shield of Roses, will be travelling to Washington, DC, this Saturday morning to pray in front of a Planned Parenthood clinic located at 1108 16th Street, NW.

The student group travels the 70 miles each week to witness for life at the abortion clinic, but normally, only 20-30 students participate. This week, during what the group calls "Mega-Shield," 100-150 students are expected to make the journey in support of life.

Last year at this time, over 200 students participated in the "Mega-Shield" event, the largest one in its 30 year history. This year, the group will leave campus after the 7:30 a.m. Mass, arrive in DC around 9:30 a.m., pray four rosaries, recite a Divine Mercy Chaplet, and sing hymns before leaving DC around noon.

Anyone interested in participating in this pro-life prayer event are welcome to join the Christendom College students.
