Five Christendom College student-athletes were ranked in 2013’s USCAA All-American Teams for their outstanding performance on the field and court. Three seniors from the men’s soccer team and two seniors from the women’s volleyball and soccer teams made historic appearance in the national ranking.

Soccer goalie Tim Vander Woude appeared on the second All-American Team, while fellow teammates, Johnny Foeckler and Jonathan Fioramonti, were ranked on the Honorable Mention All-American Team. For women’s volleyball, Bridget Vander Woude was placed on the second All-American Team and, for women's soccer, Morgan Kavanagh appeared on the Honorable Mention All-American Team.

Athletic Director Chris Vander Woude is very excited about the ranking and said that it is the first time that the college has had players named to the All American Team in recent years.

“For these seniors it is a testament to their hard work and to their teammates,” Vander Woude said. “This award, despite being a personal one, really is an award for the entire team. I am extremely proud of these five fine young people. They not only helped their team to success on the field and court, but also are great examples on campus and excellent students in the classroom as well.”

The men’s soccer team complete a historic season this year with an amazing 11-2-1 record. Their season also included national rankings as high as eighth in the USCAA coaches’ poll. For more information about athletics at Christendom visit christendom.edu/athletics.
