St. John the Evangelist Library Plans Arrive
On October 7, 2001, the College broke ground on this project, and this past February, construction crews began clearing the trees and brush to begin work on the structure. Thanks to the work of the architect, OBrien & Keane, the Colleges library planning team, and the Board of Directors, the completion date of August 2003 is right on schedule, said John Ciskanik, VP for Development, Planning, and College Relations. In addition to the blueprints, the architects also sent us a beautiful water color of the planned library. Now that we can see the library, the whole College community is even more excited than before. The construction of
the library is made possible through the funds generated by Christendoms
first-ever capital campain, The Campaign for Christendom: Advancing Catholic
Higher Education. The College anticipates the cost of the entire library
project to be approximately $6 million.
