Scott HahnThe Institute will feature renowned speakers Dr. Scott Hahn, noted author, lecturer, and former Protestant minister; Mr. Jeff Cavins, host of EWTN's Life on the Rock and contributing editor of Envoy Magazine; Dr. Timothy O'Donnell, President of Christendom College; Dr. William Luckey, Chairman of Christendom's Political Science Department; Mr. Tim Gray, noted author and Scripture scholar; Mr. John Janaro, Professor of Theology at Christendom; and Mr. Curtis Martin, Founder of FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students).

Scheduled to speak on Friday evening, Jeff Cavins will discuss the topic of The Domestic Civilization: The Prophetic Voice of the Family, while Scott Hahn will talk about the Trinity in his address on Saturday, First Comes Love: Blueprints for the Civilization of Love. Other topics to be presented include The Kingship of Christ, The New Evangelization, The Bible and the Catechism, The Holy Spirit and the Renewal of Civilization, and The Role of the Individual in Society.

"The Civilization of Love" refers to a culture that, according to Pope John Paul II writing in Evangelium Vitae, has as its basis a correct scale of values: the primacy of being over having, of the person over things. Such a civilization answers the spiritual and moral needs of the human person and promotes his fulfillment. It represents the goal of the Church's social teaching, the task given to mankind to be carried out with the help of divine grace.
