Schall is a member of the California Province of the Society of Jesus and a professor of political theory at Georgetown University, where he earned his Ph.D. in 1960. He previously taught at the Gregorian University in Rome, Italy, and at the University of San Francisco. His professional interests include classical and medieval political philosophy, natural law, and Christian political philosophy. In addition to writing monthly columns for Crisis and Gilbert! magazines, he has written articles and commentary for many other journals and newspapers, and has written over 15 books. A reception will follow
the talk in the Chapel Crypt. The public is cordially invited to attend.
