Special Message Regarding IRA Distributions

With each passing day, it is becoming increasingly unlikely that the Pension Protection Act of 2006 will be expanded or extended by Congress before the end of 2007.  Therefore, the window of opportunity allowing those over 70 ½ to direct tax-free gifts from traditional or Roth IRAs to Christendom College will close most likely on December 31st.  

Under current law, the $100,000 limit per individual ($200,000 for couples) has been an annual cap, so there are only a few weeks left to take advantage of this opportunity for gifts this year.  Transfers must be completed by December 31st.
