Professor Dr. William Luckey to Lecture at Austrian Scholars Conference
The conference, which will be held from March 15-17 in Auburn, Alabama, is the international, interdisciplinary meeting of the Austrian School. "For scholars interested or working in this intellectual tradition, it is the event of the year," the ASC's website boasts. Luckey is one of a very few economists who have studied economics and Catholic social teaching putting him on the cutting edge of the development of Catholic social teaching. His advanced understanding of the economic mechanisms of society made him an easy choice for the ASC. The ASC is the pre-eminent gathering of Austrian economists in the US and possibly the World. Usually five hundred people, including many foreign scholars, gather to both give papers and to attend. The conference combines all the opportunities of a professional meeting, with the added attraction of hearing and presenting new and innovative research, engaging in vigorous debate, and interacting with like-minded scholars who share research interests.
