Christendom’s ninety-fifth alumni priest will be ordained this coming weekend, with Rev. Mr. Joseph Dalimata, FSSP (’17), becoming a priest in the Priestly Order of St. Peter on Friday, May 28.

Deacon Dalimata was ordained to the transitional diaconate last spring and has spent the past year preparing for his ordination to the priesthood. On May 28, he will reach the highpoint of his vocational journey, joining four others in being ordained FSSP priests at the Cathedral of the Risen Christ in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Several Christendom alumni have been ordained as FSSP priests over the years, with Deacon Dalimata becoming the ninth to join this order. He joins Fr. Gerard Saguto, Fr. Joseph Portzer, Fr. Thomas Longua, Fr. Chris Pelster, Fr. Daniel Heenan, Fr. Zach Akers, Fr. John Killackey, and Fr. David McWhirter. Several other alumni are currently studying with FSSP as well.

Following the ordination of Deacon Dalimata, three more Christendom alumni will be ordained as priests this summer. Rev. Mr. John Paul Heisler (’17), Rev. Mr. Joseph Townsend (’11), and Rev. Mr. Jonathan Fioramonti (’14) will all be ordained in the college’s home Diocese of Arlington on June 5. Later this year on October 24, Rev. Mr. McFadden, OSB, will be ordained to the priesthood at Our Lady of Clear Creek Abbey in Oklahoma — ordination #99 for the college.
