Christendom College will welcome prospective students and their families to campus during multiple special visit days this fall, including two Open House events and an exclusive Homeschool Visit Day. These events, which will feature presentations, classroom experiences, campus tours, and much more, come in addition to the regular day and overnight visits Admissions offers every week classes are in session, giving prospective students numerous opportunities to experience what Christendom has to offer — entirely in-person.

“We welcomed a record number of visits this past year as families looked for an in-person college experience where their children could learn the truth, live the faith, and thrive as Catholics,” says Director of Admissions Sam Phillips. “This fall, we expect a similarly high demand for our visit opportunities and look forward to welcoming prospective students and their families to campus.”

On select Saturdays this fall, high school students and their families will be able to come campus for one of the college’s Open House events. Held this year on Saturday, September 25 and Saturday, November 20, the events will feature formal presentations from College President Dr. Timothy O’Donnell and members of the staff, classroom experiences, tours of campus, and more. These days offer a perfect opportunity to learn more about Christendom’s unique educational apostolate, all during one of the most beautiful seasons in the Shenandoah Valley.

For homeschooled students and their families, the college will be offering an exclusive Homeschool Visit Day on Saturday, October 9. With 60% of Christendom’s student body coming from a homeschool background, this day is a perfect opportunity to learn why Christendom, with its challenging liberal arts curriculum and vibrant Christocentric culture, is a top destination for homeschooled students.

The October 9 Homeschool Visit Day will also feature guest presenter Patrick Reilly, president of the Cardinal Newman Society, who will speak on the state of higher education and the challenges Catholics face today.

In addition to these formal Admissions events,  Christendom will offer day and overnight visits every week that Christendom’s classes are in session between September 1 and December 3. For these visits, prospective student are paired with a current student who serves as a host during the stay. Prospective students can experience life as a current student at Christendom observing classes, going to Mass, enjoying lunch with the whole school community, and attending any extracurricular events offered at that time, as well as staying in the residence halls if it is an overnight visit.
