Christendom College will hold its fifth annual Giving Day on Tuesday, April 26. The event, which seeks to rally alumni and parent support to raise money for the college’s Carroll Fund, is aiming to increase the total number of monthly givers to over 700 and help the next generation of Christendom students thrive as a result.

The college’s annual Giving Day has proven to be a huge success over the past four years, raising over $1,000,000 for the Carroll Fund. The Carroll Fund specifically helps the college with student financial aid, counseling and spiritual development, career services, athletics, and faculty and staff salaries.

The college currently has 475 monthly givers, with the goal of raising that number to at least 700 over the course of April 26. Following the tradition of the past two years, Giving Day will conclude with an exclusive live-streamed online party hosted by college registrar and alumnus Walter Janaro ’83 , featuring interviews, a tour of the college’s new Christ the King Chapel, a Divine Mercy Chaplet prayed for deceased alumni, a “quodlibet” open academic forum with professors Trey and Mary Stanford, a trivia event with Professor Mike Brown, musical performances, and more.

This year, alumni are encouraged to celebrate the college’s current and former chaplains and alumni priests over the course of Giving Day, with priests appearing during the livestream as well.

Each year, Giving Day focuses on a specific theme to excite and unite alumni. This year, alumni are encouraged to celebrate the college’s current and former chaplains and alumni priests over the course of Giving Day, with priests appearing during the livestream as well.

Christendom College is one of a handful of colleges in the U.S. to not accept federal funds, and therefore relies entirely on the generosity of its many benefactors for its financial success and security. The success of each Giving Day is a testament to the passion of Christendom’s supporters, who seek to ensure that the college will be able to offer its Catholic, time-tested liberal arts education for generations to come, helping to form future Catholic leaders so needed by the Church and society today.
