Christendom will welcome alumni back to campus for the college’s special forty-fifth anniversary Homecoming Weekend, to be held this year on October 7-9. The three-day event, which will see hundreds of alumni gathering to celebrate and reconnect, will feature a firework spectacular, an exclusive sit-down dinner and dance, class reunions, and more.

The weekend will kick off on Friday, October 7, with a community Holy Hour in the college’s Christ the King Chapel from 6:30-7:30 p.m., followed by a special Quodlibet and social event in St. John the Evangelist Library. Featuring a select panel of Christendom faculty, alumni will be able to ask questions of the panel and mix and mingle with seniors, faculty, and staff.

On Saturday, an alumni family fun day will be held from 12-5:00 p.m. on the college’s Campion Field, with games, face-painting, and more available for alumni and their families. Varsity sports games will take place at the same time across the street on Crusader Fields, with men’s and women’s soccer and men’s rugby playing back-to-back-to-back games.

In the afternoon, class reunions will be held for the Classes of 1982, 1992, 2002, and 2012 from 3-6:00 p.m. in St. John the Evangelist Library, with the Warren H. Carroll Alumni Reception taking place right after from 6:30 to 1:00 a.m. in the college’s St. Lawrence Commons. The reception will feature a cocktail hour, a delicious buffet dinner, dancing, and fireworks, all exclusively for alumni, faculty, and staff.

Sunday will begin with 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. Mass in Christ the King Chapel — the final Homecoming Weekend that Mass will be celebrated in the current Chapel before the new Chapel is dedicated in April of 2023. Following Masses, an optional brunch will be available in St. Lawrence Commons at 11:15 a.m. Seating is limited, so registration is mandatory to attend. The weekend will then come to an end with the annual East vs. West football game at 2:00 pm on Crusader Fields.

Finally, for those still in the area, the college will be hosting the thirteenth annual Thomas S. Vander Woude Golf Tournament on Monday, October 10 at the Shenandoah Valley Golf Club. To register or become a sponsor, visit here.
