Christendom’s Class of 2024 will present the college’s annual Mystery Dinner Theater this coming April 13-14. Titled “The Murder at the Mudboot: The Untold Story of a Second-Rate Sleuth,” the student-written and directed production will begin at 7:00 p.m. each night in Christendom’s St. Lawrence Commons in Front Royal, Virginia.

Written and directed by seniors Kathleen Thomas, Mark Cermak, and Clara Raabe, this year’s Mystery Dinner Theater promises to humor and thrill audiences as they work with the cast of students to solve the murder mystery. Audience members will be able to interact with the cast during the dinner, obtaining clues and winning prizes throughout the night.

“I couldn’t have asked for a better cast,” shares Raabe. “Each one of them brings something unique to the team, representing the best of every class at Christendom. I am so excited to see all their work shine when it’s showtime.”

Cast member Erin McLaughlin ’25, who also starred in last year’s Mystery Dinner Theater, is excited for audiences to see what the students have been working on so hard for months.

“The writers, director, stage crew, food staff and actors put in a lot of hard work, so for people to come, laugh, and enjoy themselves is like no other feeling in the world,” says McLaughlin. “We hope audiences join us for an eventful evening at the Mudboot Hotel.”

On Saturday and Sunday, doors open at 7:00 p.m., with a three-course dinner provided in the cost of admission and a cash bar available as well. Ticket prices for the Saturday and Sunday performances are $25 each for adults and $200 for a table of eight adults. Full table purchases in advance will receive reserve priority seating, while the rest of the seats will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

There will also be a Friday night dress rehearsal performance on April 12 at 7:00 p.m. offered at a reduced rate of $5.00 a ticket, with dinner not included.

Those wishing to pre-order tickets may order them online here. Guests may also pay at the door with cash, card, or check.
