Christendom College President George A. Harne, Ph.D., has launched a new podcast, Christendom Conversations, offering listeners the opportunity to engage with the wisdom of the Catholic intellectual tradition. Through thought-provoking discussions and in-depth interviews with Catholic intellectual leaders, the podcast seeks to explore profound ideas and address perennial questions. The premiere episode, available today, features acclaimed Catholic author, speaker, and professor Dr. Daniel McInerny.

In an era where secularism and relativism challenge the foundations of the Catholic faith, Christendom Conversations aims to equip Catholics with the knowledge and confidence to defend their beliefs while deepening their understanding of truth, beauty, and goodness. The podcast will release new episodes monthly, beginning with this inaugural discussion between Harne and McInerny.

McInerny teaches courses on the Philosophy of Art and Beauty and Ethics and Imagination at Christendom, amongst other courses. When he is not teaching and mentoring his students, McInerny has been writing fiction, nonfiction, drama, and screenplays for years, including his adult fiction novel The Good Death of Kate Montclair, his Kingdom of Patria series for middle-grade readers (now available on Amazon), and, most recently, his latest work, titled Beauty and Imitation: A Philosophical Reflection on the Arts.

Together, Harne and McInerny examine the role of art and beauty in daily life over the course of the podcast, discuss how to find authentic beauty in popular culture, and explore other compelling topics.

This new podcast builds upon and expands the original Christendom Conversations series, which previously featured interviews with Christendom faculty on faith-based subjects. Now, with Harne as host, the podcast is available in both audio and video formats, allowing for a richer, more immersive experience.

Christendom Conversations joins Christendom College’s growing podcast network, which includes Professor Mary Stanford’s popular Theology of the Body 101 series, the college’s Commencement Addresses, Academic Lectures, President Emeritus Dr. Timothy O’Donnell’s Principles for Your Week, and more.
