Christendom College President Emeritus Dr. Timothy O’Donnell and his wife, Cathy, will lead a pilgrimage through Northern France from October 17-26, 2025. This transformative journey will take pilgrims through historic and sacred sites, allowing them to walk in the footsteps of saints, explore France’s rich Catholic heritage, and experience the beauty of its culture. Stops will include Paris, Normandy, Lisieux, the Vendee, and more.
This pilgrimage continues Christendom College’s tradition of offering spiritually enriching journeys led by Dr. O’Donnell, following past trips to Italy, Ireland, Germany, and other significant locations. Throughout the pilgrimage, participants will explore the struggle that has characterized the Church militant during its earthly journey. From the rising of the Vendee to the beaches of Normandy; from the exploits of St. Joan of Arc to the monastic soldiers of Mont Saint Michel; and from the hidden cloister of Carmel to the glory of Notre Dame and Chartres cathedrals, pilgrims will have the opportunity to prayerfully contemplate the Church’s great spiritual patrimony.
Pilgrims will explore the rich history, culture, and faith of Northern France with Dr. O’Donnell, a trusted pilgrimage leader now for decades.
Highlights of the pilgrimage will include visits to renowned historical and religious sites such as Lisieux, Mont Saint-Michel, Chartres, and the newly restored Notre-Dame Cathedral. Pilgrims will also have the opportunity to attend daily Mass, engage in prayer, and reflect on the faith that has shaped France’s history, all while experiencing this journey with Dr. O’Donnell, a trusted pilgrimage leader now for decades.
The total cost of the pilgrimage is $4,350, including airfare. This price covers accommodations in handpicked locations, guided tours, spiritual reflections, all meals, entrance fees, and transportation within France.
