Christendom College’s Graduate School of Theology will present a special Bible and Theology series this spring, offering an in-depth exploration of the Divine Inspiration of Holy Scripture. The series will take place on March 1, 8, and 29 in St. Martha’s Hall, with Christendom faculty members delving into the Old and New Testaments, the works of the Church Fathers, modern historical criticism, and more. Designed to provide an engaging and enriching study of Sacred Scripture, the series will serve as an inspiring way to begin the Lenten season.

The series will launch on Saturday, March 1, with two presentations from Christendom faculty members. The first, “Saint Thomas Aquinas & Truth: Insights from the Angelic Doctor,” will be delivered by Dr. Stephen Hipp beginning at 7:00 p.m. Following his presentation, Graduate School Dean Dr. R.J. Matava will deliver a talk on “Natural and Supernatural Revelation: The History of Modern Historical Criticism” to close the first night of the series.

On Saturday, March 8, the second part of the series will be held, with Dr. Andrew Montanaro delivering a presentation on “Preparation in the Old Testament: The Unveiling of God Before the Incarnation.” Finally, on March 29, the series will close with a presentation on “Sacred and Canonical: God’s Word and the Historical Context to the Council of Trent” from professor Steve Weidenkopf and “Testimonies from the New Testament: The Fact and Nature of God-Breathed Scripture” from professor Salvatore Ciresi.

Each session will run from 7:00–9:00 p.m. in St. Martha’s Hall, with refreshments provided.
