about me
I joined Christendom College in the autumn of 2022. Before arriving at Christendom, I served as a postdoctoral scholar for one year at Clemson University and for three and a half years at Arizona State University. The main line of my research focuses on political leadership. I am currently engaged in projects on Augustine’s Moses and Thucydides’s Nicias. I am also working on a project examining Machiavelli’s use of Livy and other ancient Roman writers. In my leisure, I enjoy reading a wide range of contemporary Catholic writers (Remi Brague, George Bernanos, Christopher Dawson, Etienne Gilson, Pierre Manent, Jacques Maritain, Francois Mauriac, Emmanuel Mounier, Flannery O’Connor, Walker Percy, Josef Pieper, Yves Simon, and Evelyn Waugh).
