O*Net – Maintained by the U.S. Department of Labor, O*Net is the site to use for getting answers to your questions about qualifications, skill levels, experience levels, typical duties and responsibilities, etc. for just about any job you can imagine. You can also do keyword searches to generate lists of job titles that require a particular skill, qualification, etc. This is the place to start your search.
LinkedIn – Facebook for professionals. A free membership will allow you to network with others in your career field or those in a career field you’d like to move into. You can also join interest groups, alumni groups, or many other forms of groups that will let you stay abreast of what’s going on.
