Prof. Mary Stanford completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Dallas and earned an M.T.S. from the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family. Since 2003, she has been teaching theology at Christendom College where she has given lectures and taught several acclaimed courses on the Theology of the Body.
The Christendom College Major Speakers Program is an important aspect of the academic life at the College, offering the students and community an opportunity for cultural, intellectual, and spiritual enrichment beyond the classroom. The Major Speakers Program offers the students expanded opportunities to gain greater insights and depth of understanding of important issues, and to interact personally with a wide range of men and women who are shapers and critics of our society. At least two major speakers are hosted by the College each semester.
Mark Rohlena, the Executive Vice President of Christendom College, hosts a variety of Christendom professors and special guests to discuss insights on the faith and how to live a Catholic life.
Each year Christendom College hosts a special guest speaker at Commencement to address the graduating class.
Amid the splendor of the Virginia countryside, a select group accompany a variety of lecturers and some of the College’s best professors on an intellectual and spiritual journey representing the height of the Christendom College experience.
