Applying to the Center

Applications to all programs in the Center for Educational Philosophy & Leadership are submitted through the online application portal. The M.Ed. can be joined any semester, and the annual Ed.D. starts each fall.

Programs of Study

The following degrees are offered through the Center:
  • Master of Education (M.Ed.)
  • Doctor of Education (Ed.D.)

Admission Timeline

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Prospective students are encouraged to apply in advance of their intended term of enrollment. Specific deadlines and term start dates are published annually.


Program Format

All programs in the Center are delivered in an online synchronous format.


Application Requirements

Master of Education (M.Ed.)

  • Applicants to the M.Ed. program must submit:
  • A completed online application
  • A baccalaureate degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited institution
  • Official transcripts of all post-secondary academic work
  • A current curriculum vitae or resume
  • Two letters of recommendation addressing the applicant’s academic and/or professional qualifications for graduate study in educational philosophy and leadership
  • A brief statement of purpose (maximum 300 words) describing the applicant’s intellectual interests and reasons for pursuing the degree
  • A nonrefundable application fee

Doctor of Education (Ed.D.)

Applicants to the Ed.D. program must submit:

  • A completed online application
  • A baccalaureate degree (B.A. or B.S.) and master's degree (in any discipline) from accredited institutions
  • Official transcripts of all post-secondary academic work
  • A current curriculum vitae or resume
  • Two letters of recommendation addressing the applicant’s academic and/or professional qualifications for advanced study and leadership
  • A statement of purpose (maximum 300 words) describing the applicant’s professional aims and reasons for pursuing the degree
  • A nonrefundable application fee

Transcripts

Applicants should upload unofficial transcripts from all post-secondary institutions as part of the application. Upon admission, official transcripts must be submitted directly from each institution attended in accordance with the Center’s instructions.


Test Requirements

Standardized test scores (e.g., GRE) are not required for admission.
