In recognition of the legacy of Dr. Warren Carroll, founder of Christendom College, and Mrs. Anne Carroll, founder of Seton School, Christendom College offers two fully funded scholarships to support the next generation of Catholic educators and leaders.
Scholarships
The Warren Carroll Doctoral Scholarship
- A fully funded scholarship covering tuition for the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.)
- Awarded annually to one student who demonstrates exceptional promise in Catholic educational leadership.
The Anne Carroll Educational Scholarship
- A fully funded scholarship covering tuition for the Master of Education (M.Ed.)
- Awarded annually to one student who exemplifies dedication to the teaching vocation and the renewal of Catholic schools.
Selection and Governance
- Both scholarships will be awarded annually.
- Recipients will be chosen by a scholarship committee appointed by the CEPL Director in consultation with Christendom leadership.
- Selection will be based on academic merit, professional promise, and commitment to the Catholic educational mission.
Promotion and Recognition
- Scholarships will be publicized annually through Christendom College, CEPL, and partner organizations.
- Award announcements will be made publicly each spring to highlight Christendom’s commitment to the renewal of education and to honor the Carroll legacy.
Eligibility
- Open to applicants to the Ed.D. (Warren) / M.Ed. (Anne) at Christendom CEPL
- Strong evidence of fidelity to the Church’s mission in education
- Recommended experience: Ed.D. (3+ years leadership), M.Ed. (2+ years teaching or catechetical service)
Application Process for Fall 2026 Cohort Launch
- All applications due by May 1
- Submit EdD or MEd application through the portal on the CEPL website
- Submit a 500-word essay on applicant's institutional leadership (EdD) or school impact to jon.kirwan@christendom.edu
Award Terms
- Covers tuition only; fees, books, and travel are not covered
- The award cannot be deferred or carried over on student leave
- Ed.D. recipients: dissertation topic aligned to Catholic school renewal/leadership
