Any high school senior or college transfer student who completes an application to Christendom College is invited to make an Overnight Visit and receive some reimbursement for their travel expenses during this 2009-10 academic year. Students may visit during the week or on one of the College’s scheduled Visit Weekends.

coeli-students“During these lean economic times, traveling to colleges might be out of the question for some families,” Director of Admissions Tom McFadden says. “And that’s too bad, because visiting a college is the best way to discover what it’s really all about. So we want to help students discover Christendom.”

Those traveling from Virginia (except within 30 miles of Christendom’s campus), Maryland, or West Virginia would receive $50 reimbursement. Those driving from other states would receive $100 reimbursement. Those flying in from out-of-state would receive $200 reimbursement.

In order for a student to be eligible they must complete their application, which includes the application, letters of recommendation, SAT/ACT scores, and transcripts.

“We are encouraging students to apply early so they can take advantage of this offer,” McFadden says. “You don’t want to pass up an opportunity like this. Only through visiting can you get a real taste of our unique classroom experience, our great spiritual life, and our vibrant social scene.”

This semester’s remaining Visit Weekends are October 9-11, October 30-November 1, and November 20-22. This semester also features a Senior Visit Day on October 12 (Columbus Day). The Spring semester will feature two Junior Visit Days.
