Christendom College will host its first annual Career Fair on February 21, 2013. The fair, which will be held in the lower hall of Christ the King Chapel from 12:30-4:30 p.m., will welcome 15-20 businesses that will offer students career opportunities, internships, and summer jobs.
Mr. Mike Mochel, Christendom’s Director of Career Development, is organizing the event to assist students with networking opportunities, and to help them better understand the various careers and fields of work offered by the organizations.
“Obviously this is a big deal for us this year and we’re really excited,” says Mochel. “Our students have everything an employer could want. They are men and women who are educated to think and solve problems, and they have an excellent moral formation. This is the place to find the personnel that will help an organization succeed.”
The fair is open to students from other colleges as well, including Patrick Henry College and Lord Fairfax Community College. Those who wish to attend are advised to bring copies of their résumés. As an added incentive to attract attendance, door prizes, which include iPods, will be awarded
“It should be a great opportunity not only for our students and the students from the surrounding area, but also the organizations represented,” Mochel says.
There are still booths available for interested organizations. Applications for a booth are due by February 8. For more information, please contact Mike Mochel at (540)-636-2900, ext. 1294, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
