Christendom College will welcome over 250 alumni back to campus this weekend during the annual Homecoming Weekend.
Many will be taking part in the Thomas S. Vander Woude Memorial Golf Tournament, which is kicking off the weekend on Friday at Blue Ridge Shadows Golf Club in Front Royal, Va. The tournament will raise funds to go toward the athlete-scholar scholarships that are given out to incoming freshmen each year.
On Friday evening, following the alumni versus students basketball games in the Crusader Gymnasium, alumni and some senior students will retreat to the college’s St. Kilian’s Cafe for a relaxed evening social.
On Saturday afternoon, members of the Class of 2003 will have a 10-year reunion luncheon on campus. This year’s luncheon will be the largest ever, attracting over 55 people to it. That evening, over 250 alumni will attend the Warren H. Carroll Alumni Reception in the Chapel Crypt where they will partake of fine foods, beverages, and conversations with fellow alumni and members of the faculty and staff. Also, the Class of 1993 will be having a 20-year reunion that evening in the Chester-Belloc Room in Regina Coeli Hall. Over 50 people will be attending that event as well.
On Sunday afternoon, to conclude the weekend, the college community will flock to Campion Field to watch the annual East vs. West flag football game.
