MOONSTONEThe Christendom Players will present “The Moonstone” on November 21-23.  This mystery play, to be held at Skyline High School Auditorium in Front Royal, Va., features a plot full of suspense, intrigue, romance, and even comedy.

The production is directed by English professor Dr. Patrick Keats and stars seniors Stephen Hyland, Mike Heffernan, and James Ciskanik, with sophomore Bren Blackburn, along with freshmen Madeleine Trull and Kieran O’Donnell.

The play is based on the acclaimed mystery novel The Moonstone written by Wilkie Collins.

When a fabulous yet cursed diamond named “The Moonstone” is stolen from its shrine, everybody wants it, and some would kill for it. Where will it end up? Adventure, intrigue and humorous chaos ensue as a group of Indians attempting to retrieve the stone, an English family, and a world-renowned detective all get involved.

Dr. Keats is thrilled to be presenting this production to the Christendom community.

“It is great to be working with this particular group of actors and acting coaches,” he says. “Mickey Krebs, besides doing one of her now legendary cameos, is co-producing. And we’ve enlisted some great talent to work with the actors, including Mary Harrington, Andrew Clark, Greg Monroe, Nick Gossin, Brianna Miller, Mike Powell, and our marvelous stage manager, Grace Mooney. The actors have been a joy to work with—truly! And they include a promising crop of newcomers along with veterans like James Ciskanik, Stephen Hyland and Mike Heffernan.”

Showtimes will be Friday, November 21, and Saturday, November 22, at 8 p.m., and Sunday, November 23, at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for students, and $3 for children 12 and under.
