petrickChristendom College recently announced the hiring of Karl Petrick as assistant database administrator and student employee manager. A former assistant director of admissions for St. John’s College in Annapolis, Md., Petrick will be in charge of benefactor and alumni records, and manage all student employees for the advancement office.

As assistant database administrator, Petrick will be replacing Luke Tillotson, who has served the college well for a number of years.  Petrick will be responsible for managing all analytics and reports for the advancement office and keeping up-to-date on all things related to strategic data analysis for the college.

In addition, Petrick will also hire, train, and manage the student personnel of the advancement office, organizing and supervising the student calling program, and mentoring the student employees as they progress thorough their collegiate careers.

Karl Petrick earned his B.A. in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College in 2008, where he served as assistant director of admissions for the next two years. He pursued graduate studies at Clarion University, earning his M.S. in Library Studies in 2011. After earning his Master’s, Petrick worked at Shenandoah University as the assistant director for data and records management for the college’s admissions office.

“Finding someone to replace Luke was difficult for our office.  He not only exemplified a model of true service and excellent work, but also was a joy to work with each day.  Finding Karl has truly been a blessing, however — he is both delighted to have the opportunity to apply his skills at an institution with a mission he deeply believes in, and to join such a close-knit team at the college,” says Paul Jalsevac, director of advancement operations and services.
