tod-ewtnChristendom College president Dr. Timothy O’Donnell will host a five-part miniseries on EWTN titled “The Love of the Heart of Jesus.” A discussion about the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the miniseries will begin airing on Tuesday, February 2 at 5:30 pm.

The Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary are two of the Church’s most beloved devotionals, inspiring many in-depth theological works over the years. Over the course of five episodes, O’Donnell will lead viewers through the many nuances of the two devotions, discussing their symbolism, their links to each other, and their profound scriptural foundation.

O’Donnell has hosted numerous shows on EWTN in the past, including The Glory of the Papacy, Luke: Meek Scribe of Christ, and Rome’s Hidden Churches. He is an expert on both the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, having written extensively on the Sacred Heart of Jesus in particular in his work Heart of the Redeemer.

O’Donnell is the president of Christendom College, where he also teaches courses at the college in history and theology. He was the first layman to receive both his licentiate and doctoral degrees in Ascetical and Mystical Theology from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum) in Rome. He has taught at St. John’s Seminary in Camarillo, California and at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California.

He is a Knight Grand Cross in the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre, and is a popular speaker worldwide, most recently being asked to speak at the Pontifical Council on the Family’s World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia. Additionally, he is the author of Heart of the Redeemer and Swords Around the Cross: The Nine Years War.
