The Crusaders are entering the game in the midst of an incredible run, in which they have won fourteen of their last fifteen games, including a current five-game winning streak. In their twenty-four games so far this season, the Crusaders have outscored their opponents 701 to 254 — another crowning achievement for the Crusaders, in a season that has somehow topped the team’s impressive 7-2 run last year.
Over the course of this spring, the Crusaders have captured three trophies so far, including two big tournament wins in New York City and Pittsburgh. In their biggest match of the season, the 3rd Annual Shield Match against Franciscan University, the Crusaders wowed the deafening Christendom home crowd with an impressive 54-31 win, capturing their third trophy of the season in the process.
The Crusaders played the Griffons rugby team last fall with a smaller team, falling to them in a close match during the Cardinals Conference Tournament. Christendom will look for redemption against their new conference rival, with their full team in force when they take the field on Saturday.
