The men’s soccer team will kickoff their season at home on September 1, with a match against crosstown rival Lord Fairfax Community College at 5:00 p.m. After a two-game home stand, the Crusaders will play three games on the road, first under the lights at Gallaudet University on September 6, and finishing against Patrick Henry College on September 17. The Crusaders will return home for three games September 19-24, before finishing September with a pair of away games on September 27 and 29.
The month of October will bring a four-game home stand to the passionate Crusader fan base, with the men’s team playing Southern State Community College on October 1, Johnson & Wales University on October 8 during Homecoming Weekend, West Virginia Tech on October 15, and finally Crown College on October 21. The Crusaders’ regular season schedule will come to a close on the road, as the men take on Appalachian Bible College at 2:00 p.m. on October 22.
Moving into October, the Lady Crusaders will split their final six matches at home and on the road, beginning with a home match against Southern State Community College on October 1. After traveling to West Virginia to play Potomac State on October 4, the Lady Crusaders will return home to play Johnson & Wales during Homecoming Weekend on October 8 and to play Gallaudet on October 11. To finish their regular season, the Lady Crusaders will travel south to compete against Warren Wilson College on October 22 and against Lincoln University on October 28.
The Christendom soccer program experienced one of its best years last fall, with the men finishing 10-3-1 and the women finishing 7-2-1. Such success earned both squads national recognition, with each team being ranked as high as #8 in the USCAA Coaches’ Poll over the course of the season. Together, the two teams combined to outscore their opponents by a 115-38 goal-margin.
