“We experienced a huge spike in Open House registrations last fall and spring, from families both in and outside the United States. People are hungry for an authentic, high caliber college education in today’s era of watered-down, secularized schools, and they’re finding that at Christendom,” says director of admissions Sam Phillips.
“While we offer many external means of seeing what sets Christendom apart from other schools, there’s truly nothing like visiting the campus and experiencing it all for yourself. Our Open House events give students and their families an all-access pass to the Christendom experience, from the classes to the people that make this place truly special. We cannot wait to welcome the next generation of potential Christendom students to the college this fall,” says Phillips.
The personalized attention that the college prides itself on begins immediately upon arrival to the Open House, with an address from college president Dr. Timothy O’Donnell starting the day. After presentations on the importance of the liberal arts and the incredible variety of careers that such an education offers, visiting students will be able to step into a Christendom classroom and experience it for themselves.
Following Mass in the college’s Christ the King Chapel, families will have the opportunity to dine with the college’s students, faculty, and staff, before embarking on a comprehensive tour of the college’s Shenandoah Valley-based campus. To close the day, families will hear from admissions director Sam Phillips about the college’s study abroad opportunities, as well as participate in a wide-ranging Q & A session.
Christendom’s Open House events are amongst the college’s most popular events every semester, with spots filling up fast. To reserve your spot today, please register at christendom.edu.
