Both teams have been training hard in recent weeks, practicing in mini-camps and playing in preseason matches. The fruit of their hard work will be revealed this week, before both teams play in fourteen other matches in the fall as they compete for a berth in the USCAA Soccer National Championships in November.
The Lady Crusaders finished last season 7-2-1, strong enough for one of the top winning percentages in the nation. With the help of Madeline Hill in the net, who scored the top save percentage in the nation for 2015, the women hope to improve on that record in an enlarged season schedule, under the continued leadership of head coach Courtney Nelson.
After the opening matches, the men will next play at home on September 4 at 3:00 p.m. against Berkeley College-NJ while the women will return on September 7 with a match against Lord Fairfax at 5:00 p.m.
