soccer-home-parentsCrusader sports teams are gearing up for a jam-packed weekend, with all six of the college’s fall sports teams competing at home and away during Parents Weekend. At home, the Crusaders will play back-to-back soccer matches on Friday at 5:00 p.m. and Saturday at 3:00 p.m., while the Lady Crusaders will take the soccer field at home on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

When the men’s soccer team returns to Crusader Field tonight at 5:00 p.m., they will be riding a three-game winning streak into a tough match against Potomac State College — a team they have tied, but never beaten in school history. The record could not be different for their Saturday opponent, Patrick Henry College, who Christendom dominated last weekend 10-0.

The Lady Crusaders, who are currently 2-2, are coming off a tough loss to Washington Adventist, but aim to dominate Patrick Henry College at 1:00 p.m. tomorrow. In their match against them last weekend, the Lady Crusaders won 12-0.

The rugby team will aim for its first win of the season against crosstown rival Lord Fairfax Community College on their home turf. The Crusaders are coming off a draw with Duke University at home, after overcoming a 15-29 deficit in the final minutes of the game last weekend.

The Lady Crusaders will travel to New York for a volleyball tri-match at the Culinary Institute of America on Saturday, after winning big in a tri-match at home last weekend. The Lady Crusaders are currently 6-5, after winning six of their last seven matches.

The men’s and women’s cross-country teams, both enjoying their first full seasons as Christendom collegiate sports, will travel to nearby Shenandoah University for a meet. The teams have done well in meets at Bridgewater College and James Madison University so far this season, with Anthony Brooks and Xochitl Ortega both leading their teams in overall running times.
